| wow.
what a ride.
long. hard. bumpy. sleepless.
but you know what?
totally worth it.
I'm pretty sure that none of us will forget the the past weeks (or months)...
the memories:
hysterical quotes.
hard times.
hilarious moments.
not to forget the times when we realized we were pretty much family, whether we liked it or not.

| On Wednesday night, we all piled into the car and headed about two hours north for the state field staff debrief.
What was interesting was that even though we didn't always get to see each other often, we had often been in communication with each other through some tough times, trying to smooth out wrinkles and save the day. It's amazing how you get to be friends.
By the end of the night, no one really wanted to leave. Thank goodness for Facebook.
Nathaniel flew home yesterday. Now there's no one around to say the 'tee hee' that goes with 'chortle chortle.'
I, Elizabeth, am continuing to help Alina put things back together. Last night was the first time we could really crash since the elections were over. Sure, we slept in on Wednesday, but had to be up and at 'em getting things packed up and then off to debrief.
Then, Thursday was an early day since we had errands to run and Nathaniel had a plane to catch. We did stop by and see Susanna, Alina's little niece, who is the cutest lil' person!
Now... We're back in Des Moines, just chillin' out. And laughing at funny cat pictures. Or trying to figure out Alina's new iPod.
It's even started to snow... And I want to light a fire in the fireplace. But I'm not exactly sure how, so I think I'd better wait for Alina to wake up....

| Well, what a day.
What a night! We had multiple state races across the state... We lost some. We won some. We didn't take back the State House, but we didn't have the 'bloodbath' that so many other state legislatures experienced. The race that we Three Musketeers were specifically assigned to was that of a homeschool dad in a district just south of Des Moines. One of the coolest guys EVER. The state party had written him off as 'too conservative'... Just the kind we like best. When it was all said and done, he managed to take a seat that hadn't been held by a Republican for 30 years. True, it was only by 169 votes. But we won!In other parts of the state, it was also very close... We lost another race by 100 votes. And we're down 6 votes in one of the northern districts... AHHHHHH!! Waiting to hear about the 300 early ballots that somehow haven't been counted and won't be available until next week. Us with Mr. S, our super cool candidate. | | |
| Can you believe that in just two days it will all be OVER?!
What will we do with our lives??
Alina says SLEEP.
Not a bad idea, if you ask me.
In other news, we had the Sabbath off... After church, we went to a local park and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.
Sitting on park benches by the lake, watching the moon rise, and soaring on swings is Very Theraputic. You should try it.
Please, please don't forget to VOTE!

| Sort of.
The mail is finished anyways...
Alina stuffed the last envelope.
I sealed it.
Nathaniel stamped it.
Yes, we took pictures. No, we have no plans to post them.

And our super amazing very cool boss says we can have the day off... And ordered us to SLEEP.
Thank you for praying for us... God has been very faithful.
